Heart Mafia : A must read

Mr. B. at the age of 58 had to undergo four-vessel coronary bypass grafting in Sept 2,2004. In 2005 he underwent an emergency pleural (lungs) effusion surgery. Later on Feb 11, 2010, he underwent 2 coronary stent implantations (angioplasties) and by 2011 he was a person on death bed, After all these medical procedures his body mass increased by few kilos and the brain mass reduced by few units. He then came across the ‘China Study Diet’ or ‘Whole Food Plant Based Diet’ (WFPB)’ and decided to follow the diet for six months even though not very strictly. As a result within six months his clogged arteries cleaned up, calcium deposits washed away, stent got cleared, weight reduced to normal and he became an active energetic and charismatic man as he was while he was the president of USA. In August 2011 in an exclusive interview to CNN, Mr. Bill Clinton disclosed the secrets of his recovery by stating:-

“I did it because after I had these stents put in, I realized that, even though it happens quite often after you have bypasses because you lose the veins; the truth is that it clogged up, which meant the cholesterol  was still causing build up in my vein that was part of my bypass. And I didn’t want that to happen again.”

So I did some research and found out that 82 percent of people since 1986 who had gone on a plant-based diet had begun to heal themselves; their arterial blockage cleared up, the calcium deposits around the heart broke. This movement was led by Dr. T. Colin Campbell of ‘The China Study’. We now have 25 years of evidence and so I thought I’ll become a part of this experiment and experience this self cleansing mechanism.”Ultimately, Clinton said he wanted to be around to be a grandfather, and that was the major driving factor to follow the China Study Diet Plan.. “That’s really a big deal,” he said. “Hillary and I, we’re happy. We love our son-in-law. And if there’s gonna be grandkids we wanna be around to do our part.”

It was very clear from his interview that bypass surgery and angioplasty made his health rather worse. And finally it was ‘The China Study Diet Plan’ which helped him to revive his health. However this is not an exclusive example.

Let’s take an example of another Mr. B.

At the age of 4 in 1977, he was diagnosed with a hole in his heart. The doctors recommended an open heart surgery to fill the hole. Although the surgeons were apparently able to fill the hole and fixed the problem but warned the boy’s parents saying that the boy’s heart will continue to remain weak throughout his life and he should refrain from any strenuous physical activity and sports. I took a formal training on ‘The China Study Diet’ from the chief scientist of ‘The China Study’, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, of Cornell University, who is also credited for the revival of Mr. Bill Clinton’s Health.

However Dr T. Colin Campbell is neither the first doctor nor is it for the first time proven that no matter how worse the condition of your heart or severity of the disease is, you still can reverse the condition of your heart or even clear more than 95% blockage without any risky surgery and lifelong medication, just by following a special nutritional diet plan. Exercise Equipment


Activities in natural environments such as parks and forests have a positive effect on stress, mood and fatigue, researchers at the University of Glasgow found. The study showed that exercising in “non-natural environments” such as gyms does not protect against poor mental health. 

The best running surface is natural grass / clay fields which are not very much uneven.

The hard ( not too sandy or soft ) soil around the sea beaches is also a good alternative.

The other alternatives are artifically made running tracks used for professional events.

If all these are not available then the kuccha roads / footpaths may be preferred rather than pucca roads.

The last choice is asphalt road and the last the cemented roads.

The running on treadmill is a artificial things and requires expert advise and monitoring by qualified coaches and instructors. Article running movements on artificial surfaces should only be last alternative with full care and caution.

Weights Exercises  in Gym

The weight exercises in Gym are not natural form of actions executed in daily life style. Thus being artificial they are not best suited.

The weight exercises are good for those who wants to increase muscle mass.

There are many other weight exercise which are less artificial in action like traditional Indian Clubs / “Mugdar”, “Gada”, “Gatti” or ” Hand Chakki” (a Circular Grinder rotated by hand to grind grains / lentils)  which can be performed at home also and are very cost effective.

In addition modern equipment are also good for strength exercises at home like swiss ball, stretch band, resistance band etc.


The Best Shoes

A good shoe is one which does not restrict leg / body movement in any way whether speed, direction or flexibility. That is possible only when the whole foot inside the shoe continues to get unrestricted movements, bends and flexibility by any of its part / side / finger etc which is otherwise possible without a shoe i.e. bare foot.

If a shoe restricts any particular movement of any part of foot that means the leg muscles connected to that part will become inactive over a period of time. The load or purpose of that movement may be slowly and steadily taken over by some other part of foot and its corresponding leg muscles which may strengthen it initially but may overload it,  leading to pain / injury / damage etc. at a later stage.

Accordingly, the traditional canvas shoes are best which meets all the above requirements. and thats the reason they are most preferred in all kinds of sports, walking and running activities.

But if you still want to go for “modern” sport shoes made of leather or ragzine them select which :

provides ample free upward movement of your big toe and adjoining littles toes.

Shoe must hold our feet backside , i.e. it should not push or drag your feet forward, even though some comfortable space is required on front . This possible if there is height of the  heel of shoe is not more than that of  front sole, i.e. the feet should not rest in slope, it should  be flat as far as possible.

the bottom sole as well as the top front cover should be as flexible as possible to permit your foot to have flexible bending in all directions . Hard sole makes our foot FLAT which is very harmful.



The best fitness sport : Kabaddi

In sports, Kabaddi is the game which demands highest level of fitness . It requires :

  • highest level of heart and lung capacity while ryming ‘kabaddi’ for maximum time in one breathe,
  • highest level of strength in catching and holding the opponent and also for efforts in getting freedom once caught by many opponents,
  • highest level of quick movement & alertness in touching the oppponenet while raiding and also from escaping the raider to get touched. This demands flexibility as well as high reflexions for  all joints in body right from neck, hand, shoulders, wrist, fingers, waste, pelvis, knees, ankle, feet etc., and
  • highest level of alertness and movement through eyes & errs to keep a watch on 7 opponents while raiding and  also for a raider.

No other sport demand such a high level of fitness.
